Welcome to our new mods!

Hello everyone, this is Reine- your head mod. Sorry for getting to this really late.

As of today, I would like everyone to welcome our new mods: Marge, Rowan and Tory for Games, Netbug and Erick for Service and Relle for Back-up. Thanks everyone for volunteering to help, this really means a lot to me!

First, a few rules:

+ Mods will have to update their games/services in a timely manner. Being delayed a day or two is fine with me, but if it happens too frequently, I may approach you to ask what's up. It's better to inform me beforehand if you won't be able to post on time or hand rewards so I can note it. As a rule of thumb, rewards should be given within a week (during the game period for non-screened games, and after the round ends for screened games) of a player's comment so they don't get too restless.
+ If you cannot post your game or do your service for a long period of time, let me know! I won't bite if you really need the delay, and we can always work around the problem if we need to.
+ You are a player as well as a mod. While I do love dedication to your work, don't forget to update your own card posts at least twice a month. As a mod, you're also the face of the game, so if you find it hard to handle both your own card posts and mod work, I might ask you to step down.
+ Respect your fellow mods and players. I cannot emphasize this enough. This is meant to be fun! So please don't quarrel.
+ Edit: All cards for rewards can be taken from HERE.

There's not really a lot of rules to this. The most important thing is that you have fun and that you let me know if you can't handle the pressure. We'd understand!

Now, on to business.

Seeing as the official opening of the game is next week, (I know, really rushed and all that ;;) I'd like to ask everyone to pick the games they'll be handling starting next week. This is a tentative schedule and completely up for change if you think the date would be inconvenient for you. For Netbug, Erick and Relle, I'd prefer you take one game each, and all Game Mods please pick three that you'd prefer. I'll also be sending all three of your details of your tasks in the PM tomorrow.

Though these are the games listed in the main comm, if you think there'd be a better game for any of them, let me know and we can see about changing them. If you need me to make the banners and the descriptions, state it here so I can start on them. The banners are 450x300 in size. If the day is inconvenient for you, tell me immediately so we can work it out.

WEEKLY GAMES

Fix that Glitch! (Marge)

• You will need to know image editing for this. It's basically a game with image distortion and letting the members guess which card it is. So basically, just make sure to remove the number and the deck name and also distort the image in a way that it can still be solved. Let them guess which card (i.e. cake15) it is. This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: Tuesday


• Recommended prize: Two cards for getting it right

Lost at Sea (Chrissy)

• You will need to provide an image of a location and let the players guess the name of the place and its canon. Try to make sure it's something that people can easily find in google. This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: Monday


• Recommended prize: Two cards and one puzzle for getting it right

Haruhi's Commandments (Grey)

• This is similar to Team Assemble in Prejoin, but instead of looking for several characters, you're only looking for one character. (i.e. Tsundere = Syo Kurusu from Uta no Prince-sama). Since it's weekly, you can hand the reward at the end of the round. They do not need to link anything, just providing a name and canon is fine. This is NOT a screened game. Players cannot guess the same character as the one before them.


• Recommended day: Friday


• Recommended prize: Two cards for the guess, one extra card for getting it right after the round closes.

Matching Pairs (Rowan)

• Players will have to check if they have the exact same card as the one in the pile you'll present. I'm guessing about seven random cards will do, and they can only match each card once. This is NOT a screened game.


• Recommended day: Wednesday


• Recommended prize: 2 cards for the first match, +1 for every extra match

Member Hunt (Marge)

• For this one, rather than giving a general term for people to look for, you will be describing the character you're looking for. Make it sound like a fellow club/team member is looking for them. (i.e. He's a tall redhead who wants to be an idol. He's also good at playing the guitar, but can be really bad at composing lyrics. Answer: Ittoki Otoya.) Try to give just enough details so players can figure it out. Let them guess the name and canon. This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: Thursday


• Recommended prize: 2 cards and one puzzle for getting it right

Last Friday Night (Tory)

• This is a free for all guessing game. What you will provide are evidences of their activity, and the players will guess what they could've been doing that had all of the items presented. (i.e. Items: mic, sake, chicken. Answer: Someone spiked the punch with sake and it turned into an all-out karaoke contest to see who can serenade Nagoya the chicken the best. Whoever wins gets to kiss the bird.) This is NOT a screened game.


• Recommended day: Saturday

Recommended prize: 2 cards for the answers, +1 extra card for your favorite response at the end of the round.

Mystery Message (Tory)

• This is a word scramble game. You will provide the players a scrambled word and its canon and they will have to guess what it is. (i.e. word: fgarai (final fantasy series) answer: firaga). This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: Sunday


• Recommended prize: 2 cards and one puzzle for getting it right

BI-WEEKLY GAMES

Free Samples (Chrissy)

• Freebies! You hand out two cards for free. This is NOT a screened game.


• Recommended day: Sunday


• Recommended prize: 2 cards

Karaoke Party (Rowan)

• You will need to upload a song (preferably in divshare or any sharing program that allows music embedding) and let the members figure out what the name, the artist and the canon of the song is.


• Recommended day: Friday


• Recommended prize: 2 puzzles

Mascot Mania (Erick)

• Post a picture of a mascot/token animal of the show and let the players guess who he is and what canon he's from. This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: Wednesday


• Recommended prize: 2 cards and 1 puzzle

Secret Word Hunt (Relle)

• This is the word hunt in the Prejoin games. You'll have to look for a word search puzzle generator (or you can ask Chrissy for what she used). All words in one puzzle should be names/things from the same canon. This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: Saturday


• Recommended prize: 2 puzzles or 2 cards and 1 puzzle

Spot the Difference (Netbug)

• You will need image editing skills for this. Basically all you need to do is editing five things in a picture slightly to make them different (i.e. remove a neck tie, recolor eyes etc.) Players will guess what the differences are. This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: Thursday


• Recommended prize: 3 cards

The Switch Corner (Grey)

• This is prejoin's Card Swap. Except it's only one pile with 25 cards. Players can only swap out cards once a week.


• Recommended day: Monday

MONTHLY GAMES

Guild Wars (Marge)

• You will need to provide an image of three (or more if you want) groups (same canon/theme/etc) and let the players choose who they would vote for. The prizes will vary depending on who they pick. This is not a screened game.


• Recommended day: First Sunday of the month


• Recommended prize: 2 tickets or 4 cards or 2 puzzles depending on who they choose. Prizes will be handed out at the end of the round.

Musical Chairs (Tory)

• This is Prejoin's Letter Me This. Pick a quote and players will offer cards to complete the quote. The game ends when the quote is complete or when the new round starts. Players can only submit up to three times. This is not a screened game. Also, whoever is handling this will need to give me the list of the cards donated so they can be added to Giveaway at the end of the month.

• Recommended prize: Two cards per comment.

Which One is Hikaru? (Rowan)

• This is a lottery. (Like Pick Your Host in Prejoin). You only provide 25 numbers and let the players pick a number. Not all the numbers need to have a prize as long as there's at least one of every host! This is a screened game.


• Recommended day: First Thursday of the Month


• Recommended prize: Twins: 3 cards + 1 puzzle + 1 ticket, Hikaru or Kaoru: 2 cards + 1 map, Other Hosts: 2 cards, Blanks: 0.

Deck Assemble and Puzzle Chain are defaulted to me. Treasure Hunt can be anyone's game, but for January I will be handling it. I will ask everyone two weeks prior to February if anyone would volunteer to handle it then to give ample time to plan.

There has been no event planned for New Year, but if you have any ideas, fire away! For now, the only real plan for it is asking for a wish from the members for the upcoming Christmas Event. Any ideas/comments/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
